Elegant pair of Italian ceramic vases by Bertoncello, emblematic of the 1970s. Sculptural silhouette with a pleated body and side opening. The vases are finished in a speckled “Havana” brown glaze, typical of the workshop's productions. The vertical reliefs catch the light and enhance their graphic presence. Note: The Bertoncello Ceramiche d’Arte workshop, founded around 1956 in Schiavon (Italy), was initially known by the acronym LBP, formed from the names of its founders M. Lini, Giovanni Bertoncello, and M. Pizzato. Quickly led by Giovanni Bertoncello (1930–2011) and his brother Felice, the workshop experienced significant growth in the 1970s, employing up to thirty people, with Giovanni overseeing the design of forms and glazes. The company closed in 1999.
