Art Deco sideboard, style
The meeting of the Art Deco charm of the 1930s and the modernity of a raw wood and natural cane finish. The Object: Authentic two-part Art Deco sideboard from the period (circa 1930-1940), fully restored in our cabinet-making workshop to give it a bright, airy, and decidedly contemporary look. The lower part opens with two waist drawers separated by a sculpted cabochon, as well as two panelled doors adorned with superb floral and geometric bas-relief sculptures typical of the Art Deco movement. The upper body rests on two elegant detached fluted columns framing a central niche with a bevelled mirror that adds depth and clarity. Natural raw wood: The piece has been completely stripped and sanded with precision to remove its old dark varnish and reveal the light and warm grain of the solid wood. It is protected by a clear matte finish (natural raw touch) that preserves the authentic appearance of the wood while protecting it in daily use. Cane doors: The original glass of the upper body has been replaced with genuine new natural rattan cane, providing great visual lightness and elegantly concealing your crockery while allowing light to filter through. Original details: The period metal handles have been carefully cleaned and preserved to maintain the historical soul of the piece.
