Exceptional and rare mahogany chest of drawers, built in oak from the empire period stamped courte. It opens with four drawers, top in blue-grey turquin marble. Ornamentation in gilded and chiseled bronze of very high quality. Very rare piece of furniture. Empire period first quarter of the 19th century jean baptiste courte or kurt (september 20, 1749 - april 28, 1843), cabinetmaker, mastered on september 20, 1777 in dijon. His furniture is often similar to that of demoulin. These are louis XVI chests of drawers and secretaries. Similar furniture exhibited at the museum of fine arts in dijon. Height 86 cm width 98.5 cm depth 54.5 cm.
