Magnificent two-body sideboard in carved walnut, Louis XV style.

Superb two-body sideboard in walnut, in Louis XV / Rocaille style, richly carved and particularly decorative. A piece of beautiful presence, with an elegantly flowing façade, a significant cornice in the shape of a gendarme's hat topped with a magnificent sculpted pediment, adorned with floral motifs and a central basket. The upper part, open, allows for the display of crockery, earthenware, decorative objects, or books. The lower part opens with four panelled doors, enhanced by beautiful fittings and visible patinated metal hinges. The interior offers several storage spaces with shelves. The carved decoration is particularly refined: foliage, floral motifs, ears of wheat, ribbons, and scrolls, extending to the lower crossbar. The whole rests on beautiful curved feet in the Louis XV style. The walnut has a lovely warm hue and a warm patina, giving this piece a lot of character. An ideal piece for a dining room, an old house, a character home, or to bring a true presence to a contemporary interior.
