Vintage XL Zebra Mushroom Lamp from Peill & Putzler, 1970s

Vintage xl ' mushroom ' table lamp manufactured by peill & putzler in the 1970s.this lamp is made in one piece from opal glass with zebra print and a satin finish. This is the large model with a height of 38 cm and a diameter of 33 cm. The lamp has the original manufacturer's sticker on the inside as a sign of authenticity. This table lamp is also still in very nice condition. The lamp is completely intact and in beautiful vintage condition. When switched on, it provides a soft and atmospheric light. The manufacturer's sticker is still present on the socket as proof of authenticity. Peill & son was founded in 1903 and merged with putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947, continuing under the name 'peill + putzler glashüttenwerke'. Throughout its history, the company has collaborated with important designers as well as other companies such as raak amsterdam and massive. At its peak (1950s), around 1, 500 people worked for the company. In 2004, a year after their 100th anniversary, the company unfortunately declared bankruptcy.
