Chaleil or oil lamp, in brass. Auvergne 19th century." the caleil or calelh is a typically regional oil lamp. It was found in iron or brass. The upper pentagonal and removable bucket carried five nozzles with wicks soaked in oil. The lower bucket collected the excess of the combustion. Once lit, the lamp was hung by its harpoon stem. Very good general condition. Authentic model, from the 19th century, Auvergne region.
