Pair of sculpted walnut armchairs, featuring scroll arms adorned with grotesque faces, scrolls, and foliage, integrated into the tall uprights of the backrest. The backs are topped with sculpted scrolls of leaves and connected by a worked frieze, surmounted by a grimacing face surrounded by plant motifs. The chairs rest on an X-shaped base, reinforced by stretchers for stability. Inspired by the throne of King Dagobert, these seats evoke the aesthetics of antique furniture with medieval influences. Elegant curved structure and chiselled ornaments for remarkable authenticity and presence. Period: late 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Dimensions: Width: 58 cm.
