50s Brass Mesh Mirror | Made in Germany

The internal part of the frame at the front is made of a gold lacquered metal and the decorative part is a thick brass mesh. The metal stand on the back is coated in an off-white lacquer and has a hook for hanging. The design is reminiscent of the work of French designer Mathieu Matégot in the 1950s, but this particular model was most likely made in West Germany. Good vintage condition. Note that the lacquer on the area around the glass has flaked off in places, revealing the raw metal material underneath.
