Old ornithological engraving, original, of the early nineteenth century. This engraving represents the species "red-backed barbion (pogoniulus atroflavus)". It comes from the work "histoire naturelle des oiseaux de paradis et des rolliers suivi de celle des toucans et des barbus (1806) by jacques barraband (1767-1809)". In its frame it measures 25 cm by 33 cm. Note. Freckles and traces of moisture at the bottom are noteworthy. View detail photos.
