Fruity sweetness and family home charm with this charming trio of fine earthenware dinner plates, signed by the Gien factory in the 1980s. The "Marie Pierre Boitard" model celebrates the French country chic spirit: a blue wicker basket overflowing with pink apples, bunches of grapes and generous foliage - a motif at once delicious, colorful and comforting, blue polka dots and two borders enhance these plates with scalloped edges. Stamped GIEN Marie Pierre Boitard, a discreet designer whose designs have been published by several major French porcelain and earthenware houses, notably Gien and Haviland. Little is known about this artist, but her decorations poetically tell the French art of living, between nature, softness and tradition. Diameter 22 cm Very good condition, no cracks, very shiny, a small chip on the edge of one of the plates, age-related cracks in another and a glaze defect in the center of the third. Perfect for a rustic chic table or to mix with plain pieces for a painting effect.
