1970s Smoke Grey Textured / Striped Murano Italian Glass Pendant Lamp

An original vintage pendant lamp of mouth-blown green-grey glass with applied ‘swags’ of opalescent white glass fused flat ot the surface, textured to the underside with drip-like protuberances, and capped off with a large chromed gallery. It was made on the island of Murano, Italy, in the early- to mid-1970s. Inside the shade, the lamp-holder is concealed within a chromed tube with perforated slits that let light escape sideways and cast interesting patterns into the room when illuminated. The lamp is best paired with a crown silver bulb – a bulb with a reflective silver tip – which would cast light back into the shade to reflect and refract out without creating uncomfortable glare. *Ships from the UK*.
