Its gently oscillating 12mm steel rod frame and flexible 3.5mm double-saddle leather distribute body weight evenly, creating an ergonomic, enveloping sensation akin to a comforting hug. Each unit serves as a refuge of visual and physical well-being. Handcrafted like metallic sculptures, the cold-bended frame undergoes a delicate hand-polishing and chroming process. This ensures a uniform, 50-micron metallic finish that has successfully passed strict ISO corrosion resistance tests in a salt spray chamber. The luxurious leather is securely fixed to the frame using our signature lathed, polished, and lacquered brass screws. We exclusively use premium, eco-respectful Spanish vegetable-tanned hides, selecting the finest shoulder pieces for durability. Treated with natural oils and barks, the leather retains its distinct flexibility and ages gracefully. Any natural marks from the animal’s life are preserved, adding undeniable authenticity and uniqueness to every double-saddled piece. To perfectly complement your interior décor, The Hug is highly customizable. Choose your metal frame (polished steel, aged brass, black smoke, or aged silver) and premium leather colour (black, navy, dark brown, cognac, or natural tobacco). Edges are meticulously sanded and hand-painted, and you can opt for tone-on-tone or contrasting thread stitching. Bespoke heat-embossing is also available upon request.
