Wegner in 1950 for Carl Hansen & Søn, is regarded as one of the defining works of post-war Danish design. This set consists of six chairs featuring beech frames, teak backrests and hand-woven paper cord seats. The visible joinery details on the backrest highlight Wegner’s focus on craftsmanship and construction quality. First presented at the Købestævnet exhibition in Fredericia in 1950, the model remains a landmark of Scandinavian furniture design. Good condition. May show signs of age and use.
