It is 400 hundredths silver -No English hallmarks- Some small signs of use, light scratches, some gray spots which will disappear with the first cleaning. This spoon was produced in 1865. See photos for details. To clearly see the size of the spoon, it has been photographed next to a teaspoon. With its long handle Hallmarked "Warriss Sheffield ENG" in very small characters. Length 32.5 cm Weight 190 grams The Warriss company, founded in Sheffield in 1855, manufactured cutlery, tableware, jewelry, as well as silver objects. The company used various trademarks over time. The first was "Warriss Sheffield eng." The company's founder, George Warriss, is described as "one of the oldest and best known manufacturers of silver and metal goods in Sheffield" (Journal Engineer, May 18, 1906). He died on May 10, 1906, at the age of 79.
