Medallion back chair in reclaimed wood and blue cotton, 18th century.

Wooden chair with a re-chamfered design featuring an oval medallion backrest with mouldings of knots, foliage, and a beaded frieze, padded and covered in blue cotton fabric with matching trim, a generously padded round seat covered in the same manner as the backrest, a moulded belt, and four tapered, fluted legs. In generally good condition, this chair, estimated to be from the 18th century, is stable, and the mortise and tenon assembly provides flexibility to the structure. It has been thoroughly cleaned to diminish the signs of time. Scratches and signs of wear in the wood contribute to its authentic patina. Ideal as a side chair or for decoration, it will add a classic and vintage touch to your interior. Seat height: H45cm
