Rare set of 4 iconic egg cups from the "Egg Boy" model, designed by the designer duo Wang & Merlo in the 1980s. Their sculptural and playful design is based on a spiral structure made of black lacquered metal wire, topped with a ball made of wood/resin tinted in primary colours in a Pop Art style (red, blue, green, and yellow). A beautiful reinterpretation of 1950s atomic design reimagined in a postmodern Memphis style. Model: Egg Boy. Designers: Wang & Merlo. Era: 1980s / 1990s. Materials: Black metal and coloured balls.
