Pair of Electrified Torches in Silver Metal – Mid-19th Century

This pair of torches, now electrified, rests on a square-section pedestal delicately chiseled with patterns of knots and streaks. The straight barrels are decorated with garlands, pompoms and flowers. These torches are topped with corinthian capitals decorated with acanthus leaves. Four hallmarks affixed to the base of each of these items appear to represent a fleur-de-lis, a rooster and letters. These lights will naturally find their place on a fireplace or on a piece of furniture. ******** period: mid-19th century excellent condition electrification redone and operational.
