Diamond armchair by harry bertoia published in the 1970s for knoll international. Chrome version with original wafer in ochre yellow fabric. Awarded the designer of the year award in 1955, the diamond chair designed by harry bertoia is one of the lightest and best-selling armchairs in the history of furniture. Edited by knoll from 1952, this emblematic piece is more like a sculpture than an armchair. It takes its name "small diamond" from its curved diamond shape. Harry bertoia's sculptural approach, which is reflected in the attention paid to volumes, will make this chair a manifest symbol of modernity, and will offer it an immediate success that has never dried up since. Made of steel wire welded point by point by hand, the back of the mesh looking chair is supported by metal legs - a technique that gives this metal chair a striking impression of flexibility and lightness. Composed of a mesh structure of steel wires welded point by point, the model presented here is a chrome edition of the 70s. It has a chrome finish and is matched with a yellow fabric patty that will bring comfort. Its particularly resistant finish allows it to be used both indoor and outdoor chairs. The metal structure of the armchair is in excellent condition, the cake has some small stains.
