Brutalist high buffet by Guillerme and Chambron

Major historical piece of French design: a tall sideboard/wall buffet in blond solid oak, created by the famous designer duo Robert Guillerme (1913-1990) and Jacques Chambron (1914-2001) for their publishing house "Votre Maison" (circa 1970). Collection features and details: Materials: Blond solid oak, waxed with a very expressive open grain. Art ceramics: The central niche incorporates a frieze of original glazed ceramic tiles with concentric geometric patterns, made exclusively by the renowned ceramic artist Boleslaw Danikowski. The tiles are in exceptional condition, with no chips or cracks. Carpentry: Massive doors sculpted with flattened diamond point geometric patterns. Handles recessed into the wood for the two large sliding doors and twisted blackened metal knobs on oak plates for the hinged door. Storage: Numerous modular internal shelves and 5 drawers at the bottom. Original functional keys included. The piece is sound, very heavy, entirely original, preserved in superb patina condition. Ideal for collectors or high-end interior architecture projects.
