Let's step off the beaten path and take to the open sea for a transatlantic adventure! We are in the heart of the 20th century, just emerging from a dark period in humanity that seems to be repeating itself even today. They are made in America, in superb condition, crafted from undefined solid wood (perhaps walnut burl or maybe mahogany) with a slight Asian style, I find. This is high-end. We are swimming in the 1950s in America, where design has absolutely nothing to envy from the 1970s. Yet, being fond of this period, my collection is heading towards a blend of eras and styles while respecting what my eye dictates, even if some of my choices must cater to that damn vintage market that is going in all directions, to put it politely! In short, I do not advocate a discourse of references but rather prioritise instinct, feeling, improvisation, pragmatism, and meaning... at least for those who will understand something from this last sentence... #forthosewhoknow....
