Very beautiful glazed stoneware vase by Lucien Brisdoux (1878-1963), a ceramist from Bonny sur Loire. This piece features an elegant truncated conical shape, slightly narrowed at mid-height, with a widely flared neck. Its particularly refined decoration combines a pinkish beige background with fine diagonal incisions, creating a texture and movement effect. The central part is adorned with a geometric frieze featuring white and brown chevron patterns, punctuated by small touches of emerald green. Wide golden fillets highlight the different parts of the vase and add a precious touch to this composition typical of the Art Deco aesthetic. Lucien Brisdoux (1878-1963) was a French ceramist, son of potter Achille Brisdoux, who took over the factory in Bonny-sur-Loire in 1905. In 1918, he acquired the Poterie Neuve in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye and developed a production of artistic stoneware there. Recognized for his research on metallic glazes, particularly those based on gold and platinum, he collaborated with Raoul Lachenal in the 1920s. His creations stand out for their rich material effects, the finesse of the decorations, and a great mastery of glazes. A particularly decorative collector's piece, representative of the artistic and technical explorations of Lucien Brisdoux. Dimensions: Height: 20.5 cm. Diameter: 14.5 cm. Condition: perfect condition. Material: glazed stoneware with incised decoration and golden fillets. Origin: Bonny sur Loire.
