Three rare green majolica plates dating from the 19th century, likely the 1880s. Made by the french earthenware manufacturer salins, established in 1857 in salins-les-bains in lorraine, near the border of switzerland. The plates depict vine leaves and bunches of grapes, and feature an elegant basket weave motif all around the edges. The back of the plates are marked with "salins" and the letter m. Apart from these stamps the plates also have the three classic saggar marks. Each plate is 19.7 cm in diameter and stands 2 cm tall. In great condition: do note that two of the plates have a minor chip each around the edges: see photos.
