Folding bridge table in solid mahogany – 1950s – professionally restored

Elegant neoclassical style table, with tapered square-section legs and a moulded apron. It comes from a Norman family home, where it served for years as a gaming and occasional table. When closed, it appears as a console with a moiré mahogany top featuring beautiful flame-like reflections. Simply rotate the top and unfold it to double the surface area. Underneath, a striped mahogany veneer is held in place by brass hinges. A wooden slide with a tightening screw ensures stability. It was fully restored in December 2021 by a Bordeaux-based cabinetmaker specialising in antique furniture. The piece was completely sanded and then spray varnished with a polyurethane finish. The glossy finish is durable, and the invoice is available. It can serve as an occasional dining table, desk, gaming table, or console.
