Handcrafted ceramic bowl, thrown and shaped by hand, 29 cm in diameter, 5 cm high. Its beautiful, irregular octagonal shape is intentionally dynamic, characteristic of French ceramic workshops of the 1950s. The malachite green glaze is achieved through several successive firings: — first base coat, deep green. — diffusion of metallic oxides creating a mottled brown-black "bubble effect" — high-temperature firing and slight shrinkage resulting in the subtle crackle visible on the reverse. The surface is reminiscent of polished minerals, with shades ranging from seafoam green to dark jade. Natural brown spots are present due to the reaction of the oxide on the glaze. A very attractive decorative piece. The reverse bears a molded maker's mark, used in several independent French workshops during the 1950s (precise identification is impossible without archival records, but the typology is consistent).
