Liqueur carafe

Superb small liqueur (or port, sherry) carafe in crystal / fine glass, crafted from the expertise of the famous Verrerie de Vianne (Lot-et-Garonne). This model with a "low onion" design (or captain's carafe) is distinguished by a finely detailed cutting: the neck and base of the body are adorned with geometric patterns of crosses and diamond points, while the underside of the base features a star-shaped rosette. The original stopper is cut with matching facets. This piece reflects the excellence of the master glassmakers from Central Europe (Bohemia) who came to work in Vianne from the 1930s. An unsigned antique handcrafted production (the factory historically used paper labels that would wash away). A very beautiful piece of table art, both elegant, stable, and rich in history.
