This delicate covered sauce boat is made of Creil & Montereau earthenware. This "Flowers and Fruit" model dates from the 19th century. This service is signed by the brand "CREIL et MONTEREAU - LM & Cie FB" for the earthenware factory run by LeBeuf and Milliet between 1840 and 1875. Oval in shape, this sauce boat is adorned with a delightful purple decoration: flowers and fruits unfold and rocaille frieze motifs adorn the border. The superb handles and grips are shaped like coiled stems in relief. This sauce boat is in beautiful condition - it measures approximately 25 cm X 13 cm X 20 cm in height. I note scratches from use, as well as 2 chips at the base and a hair.
