In this advertisement, you will find a beautiful small antique silk runner rug hand-knotted in fabulous colours. The rug features a classic design with a dominant central medallion and detailed floral patterns that fill the field and surrounding borders (a Shah Abbasi floral pattern is a possibility). The colours are mainly shades of turquoise and beige with hints of red or coral. The floral pattern is densely filled, fluid, and extremely fine — typical of Lavar (the most detailed Kerman subgroup). The weaving is estimated to be between 1890 and 1910. This small runner rug is perfect for hanging on the wall, or as a small detail next to or in front of your favourite armchair. It is in relatively good antique condition with some signs of age and use. For any further questions regarding this piece, please feel free to contact me. Happy shopping!.
