Pair of antique Napoleon III chairs in blackened wood and fabric.

Elegant pair of French chairs dating from the Napoleonic III period (circa 1850–1880). The chairs are made of blackened carved wood (ebonised) with turned spindle backs and comfortably upholstered seats in vintage fabric. Although visually very similar, the two chairs are not perfectly identical: there is a slight variation in the thickness of the legs as well as a small difference in seat height, which reflects their artisanal craftsmanship of the time. These chairs will fit perfectly in a classic, bohemian chic, or even contemporary interior, adding a touch of history and character.
