Pair of white metal candle holders "Spiral" by Gunnar Ander for Ystad-Metall, Sweden, 1960s.

Elegant five-armed candelabras designed by Gunnar Ander for Ystad-Metall, Sweden, dating from the late 1950s to the 1960s. Made of white metal with fine candle stems, small drip trays, and spiral bases in a fluid shape create a dynamic and sculptural expression while maintaining lightness and balance. This is a refined example of mid-century Scandinavian design. Attribution note: this model is sometimes attributed to Harry N. Boström for Bo Svensk, but based on construction, proportions, and close comparisons with documented examples, it is most convincingly linked to Gunnar Ander and Ystad-Metall. The duo is in good vintage condition showing signs of wear and use consistent with their age. The candelabras take small conical candles with a maximum width of about 12 mm.
