Red Chinese Armoire - 19th Century

Wedding wardrobe/authentic Chinese clothing, red lacquered, likely from Shanxi or a neighbouring province in northern China, dating from the late Qing dynasty or early Chinese Republic (between 1880 and 1940). Natural wear visible in the photos — lacquer chipped in places down to the wood, irregular patina on the handles and lock. This wardrobe was purchased in Singapore during our expatriation and was brought back in our container.
