Alabaster horse head lamp, Italy

Superb lamp composed of a cream-colored alabaster horse protome on a marble base. Italian made, it must date from the 50s-60s. Very beautiful design with a brass stem with a slight bend to offset the lampshade to the right. Stable. The lampshade with a red ochre burlap exterior has aged less well and shows visible damage in the photos. This one is original, it goes so well with the lamp that I preferred to keep it and the defect being towards the back this has little impact on its overall aesthetics. It is clipped onto the bulb and can easily be replaced if necessary. The original wire (twisted white) was partly replaced in more recent times by a 3 meter long brown wire and the white switch is placed just behind the lamp base. A lamp with a lot of style!
