Very rare row in satin off-white lacquered wood and blackened wood designed by elizabeth garouste & mattia bonetti for the opening of the christian lacroix boutique rue du faubourg saint honoré in 1987. Christian lacroix chose this iconic duo to create the complete bespoke interior of the fashion house, with black, ecru, coral, bronze, wrought iron and moucharabieh decorations and panels. This same moucharabieh décor adorns the two doors of this buffet. It also has two large drawers on the side, four drawers in the middle, all with bronze and resin handles perfectly embodying christian lacroix's style. Two small lights are installed behind the doors, to illuminate the moucharabieh panels. This sideboard is clearly an iconic piece and emblematic of garouste & bonetti's commitment to an avant-garde and romantic style, and this collaboration with christian lacroix was clearly one of their best baroque creations. This enfilade has been completely restored, and is in exceptional condition.
