This vintage rosewood vinyl record or file cabinet, attributed to Kai Kristiansen, manufactured in Denmark in the 1960s., is a perfect piece of furniture for vinyls or magazine lovers. Features like handles or the structure of the cabinet indicate it is Kristiansen's design for FM Mobler, no label has been preserved though. This cabinet shows mastery of Danish design – functionality, and beauty, visible in perfectly matched grains of rosewood veneer, or a sturdy tapered, detachable legs (which facilitate convenient transport). The interior has five compartments suitable for vinyl records, and a two drawers. Additional dimensions: each vinyl compartment 9 cm width. Each internal drawer 5 cm height. The cabinet has been fuly restored, during the restoration of the 1960s cabinet, we added dividers and the entire wood has been refinshed with new layers of lacquer, creating the perfect solution for vinyl enthusiasts while preserving the spirit of Danish modernism. We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm it is originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering they are 60 years old.
