Hamborn studied at the academy of fine arts in stockholm in the years 1920-1926, where he was awarded the royal medal, as well as during study trips, e.g. To germany, the netherlands, belgium and france. He exhibited several times separately in malmö 1925-1953, and also at konstnärshuset in stockholm in 1940 and 1943.
