Pair of tulip pendants by Thorn Lighting, England circa 1970.

Very beautiful and rare pair of pendant lights from around 1970. Made in England by the Thorn Lighting manufacturing company (label near the socket, see photo), this is the "Canton" model being offered. The tulip-shaped diffuser is entirely made of white lacquered aluminium with a shade of 51 cm in diameter, a cylindrical stem of 7 cm in diameter for a total height of 30 cm. The white plastic ceiling rose (replaced) is 9 cm in diameter and 7 cm in height. The pendants are height-adjustable by the wire (electrical work redone, bulbs provided) up to 90 cm. In perfect condition, these pendants would be stunning above a large kitchen island paired with a tulip dining set by Eero Saarinen. Not to be missed!!!.
