Rainer Daumiller is a German-born furniture designer who emigrated to Denmark in 1959. The sculptural wooden furniture represents Daumiller's love of natural materials and his connection to nature. The artist's work is strongly influenced by the ideas of Austrian philosopher, social reformer, and architect Rudolf Steiner. The designer created the Daumiller armchair and table in 1977, which is now his best-known creation. The chair was recently relaunched by Gubi and is currently experiencing a renaissance. The set consists of six chairs and a table. The table contains an extension. The furniture shows signs of wear such as scratches and chips. There is a burn mark on the tabletop.
