This handmade dabbling dish dates from the 1950s and 1960s, and is post-war. It is funny, round bump with a strong relief decorations. It has flaws: A splinter at the bottom right, an enamel jump in the middle of the stage as well as at the bottom right. It remains in a very presentable general state. René delarue 1912-1997. Former decorator of géo martel, rené delarue opened his own earthenware factory in longfossé (desvres) in 1947 with his wife. He will handcraft all kinds of earthenware with decorations and sometimes very surprising shapes. He also used colors that might make us think of vallauris. He also worked with gil vicente franco where they created pieces on the theme of fishing and the sea. He was perhaps the only one to diversify so much in genres and eras, from the classical to the modern. Master earthenwareman, he had a brushstroke that no one can match. During the best years, only a dozen people worked for him, recruited for their talent as a draughtsman, and all the pieces were entirely handmade. These pieces are now highly sought after, to date no archives are known, nothing has been listed, many pieces are unique.
