Stoneware lamp D. Avonts La Borne

Lamp in stoneware by Denis Avonts from La Borne. The lamp is characterised by a beautiful gradient of blue. D. Avonts starts with training as a welder and works in various jobs. In 1973, he joins the workshop of Pierre Digan – Janet Stedman (ceramists), where he begins as a calibrator before learning turning with Janet Stedman. After the closure of the Digan workshop in 1979, he builds his own wood kiln and establishes himself as a pottery artisan in 1981 in La Borne. Together with his wife Dominique Avonts, he mainly produces wood-fired stoneware, respecting the Borne tradition while developing a personal style. Height 60 cm. Height with socket 32-33 cm.
