Large Murano submerged vase 60s violet glass

Murano glass vase, made using the Italian Sommerso technique, characteristic of Venetian productions from the mid-20th century. The piece features a remarkable construction of multi-layered solid glass, combining a translucent outer layer in shades of rose violet/amethyst with a much deeper inner core of smoky plum. The geometric shape and numerous polished facets capture light and create beautiful plays of transparency, depth, and refraction. Its tall, architectural silhouette fits within the aesthetic of Murano creations from the 1960s-1970s, in the spirit of Flavio Poli's productions for Seguso Vetri d'Arte or the Mandruzzato glassworks, renowned for their massive, faceted Sommerso pieces. A very beautiful decorative piece, as interesting for its glasswork as for the intensity of its colours, which naturally vary according to the lighting. Dimensions: height 25 cm – width approx. 6 cm. Condition: very good overall condition, with no chips or cracks noted; excellent preservation of the glass and its transparency.
