Martine and Jacki Perrin designed this dining table under the name Perrin & Perrin, the renowned French glass artist duo. Created circa 1990, the piece features a circular stainless steel pedestal base with a conical column supporting a large hand-blown deep blue glass tabletop. Three discreet metal arms support the glass, whose rich reflections and textures showcase Perrin & Perrin’s exceptional mastery of light, transparency, and glassmaking. Known for works that merge sculpture and design, the artist duo has explored the relationship between glass, metal, and light since the 1980s, blurring the boundary between art and functional furniture. Engraved signature on the edge of the tabletop. Overall in great vintage condition, with normal wear consistent with age and use. The stainless steel base presents beautifully, and the hand-blown glass top retains its rich colour and lustre. The tabletop shows light surface wear and one small nick to the edge, visible in the final photographs. The original glass fragment has been retained and will be included with the sale. France, circa 1990.
