Bentwood bistro chair, Czechoslovakia, mid-20th century Classic bistro/café chair in the Thonet tradition, made of steam-bent beech. The curved backrest rests on two curved rear supports, with a solid wood (thick plywood) seat featuring visible dovetail corners, and characteristic arched front legs with a decorative curved stretcher. Beautiful honey/amber patina, with signs of use consistent with age. The "Made in Czechoslovakia" stamp is visible under the seat, indicating production by one of the major Czechoslovak manufacturers of bent furniture (Thonet-Mundus, Ligna, TON/Thonet, or Jitona depending on the exact model) — likely produced between the 1930s and 1960s based on the shape of the backrest and the arch. Overall good condition, solid seat, with no apparent repairs. Small signs of wear and localized stains visible on the backrest (normal wear, does not compromise the structure).
