French Antique Art Nouveau 4 Light 3 Sided Brass Crystal Cage Chandelier. Crafted from solid brass, the chandelier features a striking three-sided cage-style crown at the top, complemented by a decorative central finial that anchors its graceful design. From the finial extend four beautifully scrolled arms adorned with classic acanthus leaf motifs. Each arm supports a leaf-shaped candle drip tray, complete with aged beige card candle sleeves that display charming, age-related wear – adding to the chandelier’s authentic antique character. It is suspended from a decorative hoop and a nine-link chain, finished with a bar and an ornate ceiling fitter, completing its period look. The chandelier is working with French braided twin core wiring and takes 4 small screw-in bulbs E14s. Condition: The brass frame is in good, solid condition with an attractive aged patina. All crystals are present and complete, with no chips or cracks; a few may have minor nibbles consistent with age. The candle drips are made of beige card and show age-related wear, adding to the antique charm. There has been a historical repair to the wiring just above the hanging hoop, so we recommend the chandelier be checked and installed by a qualified electrician prior to use for safety. We take great care in wrapping our crystal chandeliers, but on occasion some of the crystals may work loose and it is down to you to rehang them, which is usually a simple process.
