The design is distinguished by its fluted brass structure, formed from a single bent tubular element that serves as both the support and the base. A short perpendicular foot counterbalances the shade without interrupting the continuity of the line, resulting in a construction that is both distinctive and remarkably economical in form. The adjustable conical shade in painted metal is finished with a row of small perforations around its lower edge which, when illuminated, create a delicate halo of light surrounding the shade. The brass swivel joint allows the shade to be adjusted with precision, completing a design in which every structural element fulfils a specific function while maintaining carefully considered proportions.
