A handcrafted piece of mouth-blown amber glass, this generously curved carafe evokes the warm elegance of post-war tableware. Tinted throughout, its honey-colored glass features discreet air bubbles and minute irregularities that testify to its handcrafting. Its pinched, almost organic spout and its flexible handle, blown in a single gesture, reflect the expertise of European glassworks of the 1950s and 60s, in the tradition of pieces from Biot, Empoli, or Lauscha. The slightly thick, domed base stabilizes the shape while playing with the light. To be used as a water carafe, wine carafe, vase, or simply as a vintage design object in its own right, this piece embodies the authenticity of craftsmanship. Dimensions: 17 X 12 X h21.5 cm. Condition: very good vintage condition, no cracks or chips.
