10 antique dessert plates XIX Brown Westhead More & Co

Antique service of 10 dessert plates in pale blue Mariale faience, monogrammed with an M (and possibly another letter), originating from a château in Dauphiné. Period: second half of the 19th century. Stamped by the English manufacturer Brown Westhead Moore & Co, specialised in producing services that included numerous pieces for châteaux and hospitality. The manufacturer also offered the possibility to personalise its tableware with initials, crests, coats of arms, or mottos of its noble purchasers. Distributed in France by M Chanut, 35 rue Tronchet, Paris, as well as at the crystal staircase at the Etruscan vase...
