Vintage dish with black and ochre decoration and a speckled crackled interior – 1970s

A vintage dish with a highly original design, featuring a crackled and speckled white glazed interior and a brown and black exterior adorned with a hand-applied ochre graphic design. The contrast between the light interior background and the glossy black band creates a piece that is both understated and expressive. This unsigned, handcrafted earthenware piece is likely of French origin, reflecting the style of modernist workshops from the 1960s and 70s. Diameter 21 cm, height 8 cm. Excellent vintage condition. A distinctive piece for a wabi-sabi aesthetic.
