Antique carved oak desk.

A unique piece of character to be repurposed according to your desires! I am selling this superb upper tier made of carved solid oak, originally from an antique Louis XIII/Renaissance secretary desk. Now detached from its original base, this architectural element has ideal proportions to be reinvented in a contemporary interior. It offers incredible charm and immediate character. Several layout options are available to you: • A living room console placed on the floor or on small slender legs for a modern contrast. • As a floating wall shelf / suspended storage (as a library element, in an entrance hall, or above a sofa). • As a bedside table or accent piece in a bedroom. Features and details: • Material: Solid oak, very beautiful light natural patina (warm and bright wood). • Ornamentation: Stunning handcrafted sculptures on the front (leaf motifs, central chimera/lion head). • Storage: Equipped with 4 functional side drawers adorned with white porcelain knobs (or brass depending on your furniture) and a central open niche with its original small shelf. • Condition: Beautiful vintage condition. The wood has been well preserved, and the drawers slide smoothly. It shows signs of age that add to its charm and guarantee its authenticity.
