Suspensions RAAK Amsterdam model B-1224 of 1968

On sale a beautiful suspension raak amsterdam model b-1224 (the sticker is inside the chrome tube). It can be found in the raak catalogue of 1968. It was called the teardrops model because of the bubbled glass of the globe. It is in perfect condition and entirely original. These suspensions were provided without a ceiling cover as they were sold piecemeal to make custom compositions. So I provide a chrome metal ceiling cover for those who would like to hang it from the ceiling. It can also be removed to hang the suspension under a cover above a worktop, for example. Socket e27 for bulbs up to 60w but I recommend installing led bulbs that are less energy-intensive and do not heat (in the test photo these are standard 40w bulbs). The cable is the original one: it is a cable with 2 wires for power supply and two steel wires allowing the suspension of heavier material. Indeed this cable was also used for suspensions of several kilos and more consequent diameter. It is not useful in the case of the b-1224 to use these steel cables, the suspension weighs only about 1 kilo. I give for free a second suspension of the same model: it is in perfect condition also except the globe that was broken at one time and glued. It is for this reason that this second suspension is provided free of charge. The piece put together holds very well: I cleaned and scraped the smudges of glue that were on the join and the piece still holds very well (i do not know what glue was used but it is tenacious...). The purist will be able to look for a replacement globe and find a perfect pair, the others can replace the two globes, it will be easier... The cable lengths are 100 and 120 cm that can be shortened to your needs.
