Space age Danish pendant lamp, Denmark 1960s

Impressive space age design pendant lamp from Denmark, 1960s. It features a flat top that holds a single bulb, and a diffuser made from overlapping metal scales that disperse the light downward and sideward. The socket is adjustable in height, allowing the light to be focused more to the top or bottom. The diffuser has the original white lacquer, and the top is painted dark blue. The spring-loaded cap covering the ceiling mount allows for easy installation. The lamp is in very good condition with signs of use consistent with its age.
