Space Age Lamp with Handblown Murano Glass from Doria Leuchten

This german lamp is an example of space age aesthetic from the 1960s. Attributed to doria leuchten, the lamp consists of a monumental hand-blown murano glass lampshade and a metal spring base. It can be styled as a floor lamp or a table lamp. In excellent vintage condition. Glass without chips or cracks. Lighting: takes e27 base screw bulb. The lamp is sold without the light bulb. Doria leuchten was founded after the second world war in fürth, germany. The firm became famous for its metal and glass lamps and chandeliers in the 1960s, which won several design awards, including the if design award. The company was declared bankrupt in 1986 and production was discontinued. Diameter lampshade 39.5 cm; diameter metal base 24 cm; height lamp 54 cm.
